TOUGH NEGOTATIONS!

3 ROUNDS HELD, 19/20, 2/4 April and 16/17 April

5% - After 3 rounds of tough negotiations, SCBA has improved their offer to 5 % salary review and adjustments.

SBEU still feel this is inadequate and we are making further presentation and research to SCBA to convince them to give a higher increase.

We are also looking into ways to introduce Performance Related Remuneration system so that members will get a better deal overall.

SBEU will put forward an overall package in the next round, scheduled by end of May 2003
It looks like that tough negotiations lie ahead.
