LABOUR DAY CELEBRATIONS SBEU does our bit to help  

The Sarawak Bank Employees’ Union (SBEU) is donating $10,000 to Various Charitable Organisations in Sarawak, in conjunction with Labour Day. 

The money is part of the 10% levy contribution by members after they were paid their salary arrears arising out the implementation of the SCBA/SBEU Collective Agreement last year.. All SBEU members believe that we must not forget the less fortunate members of our society. 

The Organisations are:

Kuching

Kidney Association of Sarawak

Sibu

Rumah Seri Kenangan (Old Folks Home)
Blind Centre

Miri

Parents Association of Special Children Miri (PIBAKIS)

Bintulu

Persatuan bagi Rakyat Perihatin & Ibubapa Kanak-Kanak cacat. Perpikat

Sarikei

Simaggang Benevolent Society

The cheque will be handed over by SBEU officials to representatives of the organisations on 1st May 2008  

Meanwhile SBEU branches have also line up various community based activities to celebrate Labour Day, 1 May 2008 

Kuching       Blood Donation & Body Builder Show
Venue:          Boulevard Shopping Mall 10 to 2 pm 

Bintulu        Blood Donation & Fashion Show
Venue:         Park City Shopping Mall 10.30 to 1 PM 

Sibu                Blood Donation at   Red Cresent Centre 10.30 to 1 PM 

Miri             SBEU Futsal Tournament at Miri Indoor Stadium 3-4 May
